Just got a notice from Paypal that they have locked my account. Totally impressed. NOT!!!! Reason 1. Remove PayPal as a payment option, as well as all references to PayPal, including the PayPal logo and/or shopping cart, from your website(s) So where does that leave me. Gee Whiz Now the work I have to do to get rid of them Ticks me off big time Here I thought I could come back and get organized and back into the swing of things easily Now this Sorry for venting but just really ticked off at the moment Wendy

Wendy, are you SURE it's legitimately a PayPal email??? BE CAREFUL, there are Phishing emails out there. Before you do ANYTHING, forward the email to Spoof@PayPal.com. They will tell you if it's really from them!

Did it address you by name?? I send EVERYTHING I get from them to spoof@paypal.com, that way, they can tell me if it's really from them. Don't chance it, just forward it. Then, let me know what you find out.

Make sure it's for real. If you run your cursor over the link does it come up with the paypal.com address or something else? If it's something else than it's a fraud. Becareful!!!

Really sorry to hear that wendy. What has gone wrong? Why don't you try to contact them over the phone? How can you loose that hard earned money? Do something. Please consult some experts in your place in Canada to come out of this situation. I can only pay for you. All the best, wendy.

I am sorry too Not impressed at all Have no idea what went wrong at all. Didn't work by phone and they were exceptionally rude while I was talking to them. This is what I received this am via email from them I did as they requested and removed their logo and any links to them from all my sites so there would be no questions We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information about your business to allow us to provide uninterrupted service. Until we can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We would like to restore your access as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why is my account access limited? Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s): June 15, 2007 : In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy, we have closed your account. Your funds may be held for 180 days from the date of your last transaction. After 180 days, you will be able to access your funds by requesting an online bank transfer or, if applicable, a check from PayPal. Please update your address or bank information as we cannot be held responsible for checks issued to an incorrect address. We do ask that you please remove reference(s) to PayPal from your site. So there was no need to close my account. They closed it for me With over 110 million account holders, PayPal clearly dominates their segment of the Internet PayPal has very little reason to care about me or you. We're just a few cents per transaction to them... a drop of water in an ocean. So they now have my money and there isn't a darn thing I can do about. I need to go for a walk Grrrr!!!!! Thanks for your Prayers Fair warning No matter what you do online do not leave a lot of money in any pay processor Unless you can afford to lose it Wendy

Are you sure that your business was in satisfaction to the guidelines in the Acceptable Use Policy of Paypal? They seem to be strict on that point. Is it mandatory that we should obtain prior consent from Paypal for using their name as payment option in a site? Anyway don't worry wendi, they will pay interest for the held up period also. Nice to hear you'll get back your money at least after six months. All the best.

Yes it was definitely within the Guidelines I not in a MLM, Pyramid scheme, ponzi, nor a "get rich quick scheme" Not even a matrix Wendy

Hi Wendy. Maybe this email is not from paypal? When I wanted to close my account with them a while ago, I had to tell them why and go through a whole process... So I felt lilke they don't like loosing members. I think there must be a misunderstanding there. They should at least tell you the reason? That's why I think maybe it's not from paypal.
