Lights these days are nto yellow anymore, mostly they are white. It is used to save electricity. There are some that likes dim lights. There was one time i went to a restaurant and they have dimmed lights, they said it was for the atmosphere of the place. While eating it was kind a nice, but picturing my room having that color is not much of a view. :)
How about you, do you like dim lights? Do you like it in your room?

It really depends on what I am doing if i want dim lights or not. When my room was redone. We had a light switch put in where we can dim the lights or have them bright if we want. I love it. When hubby wants a light on while watching tv and I don't. We compromise and have the lights dimmed. It workls out well for both of us in the end.

Hello,
Yes I much prefer to be in a darken restaurant as I feel it adds to the atmospheric feel. It's especially nice when I am out for a romantic meal. Soft lighting and mellow music in hte background, and not forgetting good food.
When I am at home I also like to sit in a room without all the lights being on. It's far more relaxing on the eyes. I also like to use coloured lighting for effects. Much better than just having a 100 Watt white lightbuld in the ceiling.

I love dim lights. It really adds to the atmosphere of a room and makes it feel warm and welcoming instead of having bright lights glaring out and making you squint LOL.
Bright lights tend to give me a headache and if I'm not careful, it can turn into a migraine, and my partner suffers too. For that reason, we have a soft uplighter lamp in the living room, and we have two bedside lamps in the bedroom that give off a very soft glow.
That comes in handy if one of us can't sleep, because we can sit up and read without the other being disturbed.

I like soft lighting in my home. It's okay in restarants too, if it isn't too dim. I like to be able to see what I'm eating. There was a time that I preferred very bright light in my home. I think that I thought it was more energizing. Now I prefer the lighting to be slightly dim. I think it is more relaxing.

Dim lights make me relax and sometimes sleep. But when I'm eating I want to have bright lights somehow the appearance of the food enhances my appetite.

I do not like dim lights. Then bring me a magnifying glass, or supply me with a flashlight. I would like to see what I read, and not have to order what my husband wants even though we both like Italian. It is sort of romantic, but it has it's place. Oh and I do not like dim lights in my room. I do not want to bump into furniture and stub my toes. I just need reading glasses for extremely small print and for reading menus in restaurants with dim lights.

Hello, abbyey, eating in a restaurant with dim light may be romantic, but i do not have a partner now so i do not like it:P. Also,i would like to see the food clearly to make sure the food is clean and safe to consume,i prefer to have strong light so that i can see the food clearly.
I have strong lights at home, both the sunlight or the light bulb,i enjoy eating under strong light.

I believe dim lights are suitable only when you sleep. I still wonder why do they use dim lights at some restaurants. I feel really very sleep when I go to such restaurants.
