Wow you've never cooked your own food? what if the women in your life disappear and you have to make your own food? Do you want to try to learn to cook? It's a great skill to have and it's lots of fun. Cooking can be very relaxing and very rewarding. It's great to cook up a big feast and serve it to your friends and family. I cook all the time and my fiance cooks quite a bit too.

Hi Coolgeth,
I do all the cooking, my wife prefers it that way. I've been cooking most of my life. I really don't like to cook, That's probably why my wife asks me to cook. haha
My wife cooks sometimes, but she really likes my cooking.
Peace, Totty

My husband was a cook in the United States Army for 17 years. He knows how to cook food but they could not add any spices to the food when he was in the military. I have had to teach him to add some spices to the food for flavor, but he does know how to cook food.

I'm not really sure other than maybe for health reasons. I guess they could not serve it with much in it because some people may be allergic to it or something. He isn't here right now or I would ask him to know for sure.

When my husband was alive he loved to cook!He would even sometimes kick me out of the kitchen. He made a great squash stovetop cassarole that I cannot fix to taste the same, even thou I follow his direction completely. My sons, age 26 (almost 27) and 23 can both cook, especially the older one.My 10 year old daughter can cook some, but my 23 year old son's fiance cannot boil water!Lol.Seriously,he and my 10 year old fix stuff for her.

I've made dinner for the family every day for the past 9 years as I am a stay-at-home dad and part of my "job" is cooking, cleaning, laundry and all that other fun stuff. I don't understand why men think that women should be responsible for those chores...a very antiquated view.

I never gone to the kitchen room for cooking till my 7th class... On a fine day a discussion took place in the class between girls and boys in that one girl pointed out under whatever be the circumstances if a husband and wife gets quarrelled the husband has to compromise if he needs a homely food....
At that incident I felt in different direction if suppose wife doesnt talk to the husband due to the quarrel, if by chance the husband cooks the food and gets it for the wife automatically the wife will step down all the steps and she feel sorry for the incident.......
So I want to learn cooking at that time....
But it took another 3 years to start and finally after my 10th exams in the vacation i learned cooking such that I can prepare different varities of food so that a new person can have different breakfast, lunch, and dinner happily for atleast 5 days without repeating any item...
After that I stopped cooking.......
Later on passed 10 years(aprx) Now i am very far from my homeplace and i am staying along and working in shift duty timings so again i started cooking for a day and another day is outside hotel...

I am proud to say that my father and even my ex-husband are very wonderful and good cooks and are very much capable of preparing food and cooking for many persons. I also have other male relatives who are very good cooks and prepares the food themselves.

Hey coolgeth my husband is a very good cook. We, at times, argue over the kitchen and who is the better cook. We have actually had a contest we both made the same cookies and invited some people over and got them to say which ones they liked the best. I won! Hehehe but he is a ver good cook and does alot of it when I am not feeling well. He also helps alot when we have alot of company coming over.

My husband cooks his own breakfast every day of the week. Well occasionally I will on Saturday or Sunday. He also cooks dinner sometimes, depending on the kind of day I'm having. I've known a lot of men in my lifetime that are awesome cooks.

I have helped my mother in preparing the dishes but never did it on my own. I just did the trivial things which are needed for the dishes.
