my daughter (whos only 5)likes to take clothes and decorate them with beads or rhinstone like things that she has in her craft boxes and shes came out with some really cool clothes only thing is alot of them were clothes that were too small for her because I didnt want her to mess up new clothes so now we have made a deal that we get her a package of plain tee shirts in her size to decorate. I akso turned a few pairs of her jeans into shorts or capri pants and stiched cute patterns right on the outer sides of the legs and she really liked them!

I frequently customise dresses to suit my own tastes. The latest project is a black velvet dress I bought for £2 in a charity shop. It was very plain and simple, and I added a pair of long medieval style sleeves, some gold trim around the neckline and the sleeves, then I opened up the front seam and fitted a panel of gold satin into the front, then added lacing across the bodice. Instant medieval dress :-)

What kinds of things does your daughter do? Once I used pieces of my children's pld clothes to make a blanket. It was a cool memory for them, remembering what each piece was!
