Did You Bathe With A Ducky?

I had every toy that the second hand store could stock, I even had a rubber duck, but I don't ever remember bathing with it. Oh sure, I dunked him in the water in the sink and let the water run out in the hole in the bottom of him, but that yellow rubber fellow was not getting in the tub with me.
I was a scarey cat and I probably thought that as long as I was standing up, the duck couldn't get me. But, somehow sitting in the tub left me vulnerable and open for his unavoidable attack. Come to think of it, I didn't have any toys in the tub with me, but I was never alone in the tub until I was about 8 years old.
My mother had three girls and she would put us in the tub by height. I was the baby, so I was in front. It was fun being in front, because I could control the water and the stopper. I just don't see how I was so afraid of that dumb, silly duck.

Now, see, I am saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Spirit. But I have to learn to curve my tongue, because when you said I have the greatest toy in the bath tub and that's me. I was like, oh, she plays with herself in the bath tub. Interesting, yet way too much information, LOL. Lord forgive me.

When I was a kid we didn't really have toys to play with in the tub. We did play a lot with our washcloths :) We would pretend they were people and play with them that way. I also remember getting a pac-man soap set one year and playing with those. Pac-Man was a yellow sponge and we had 4 different soaps that were shaped like the ghosts.

Sounds like you had a great childhood, because you were forced to use your imagination. My sisters and I learned to use our imagination because of the kind of neighborhood we lived in. It was dangerous for us to go out and play, so we made up things to do in the house.

I had toys in the bath I even had those letters and numbers that when they get wet they stick to the wall. But for when I went to my grandmas house I had old cooking utensils such as measuring cups and spoons to play with in the bath.

I don't remember playing with any toys while bathing. My son does though, instead of a toy ducky its ninja turtles, power rangers, and toys like that LOL i have a big bowl full of his favorite toys he likes to play with in the bath :)

No toys in the tub, I had to bathe like you did with my two sisters. It was get in and get out. My kids had lots of toys and yes they had rubber duckies.
Now I have a pool and I have had the rubber duckies which light up then they are touching the water. They are so pretty at night or at dusk. The light in them changes color so they ducks change from soft yellow to pink to blue to green. Nice for back yard parties.
