It is almost two decades ago I gave up working for others. I am the boss and I have 6 people working for me. It is a business centre and I am happy with earnings.
When I was working for someone, whatever salary they gave it was not sufficient to meet my family expenses. I was always running short of cash. Now I can make savings besides meeting all expenses.

Well, until a month or so ago I was fullfilled with my job - it was paying good and I loved it, working from home as a freelance writer. I'm afraid there have been some problems with my 'pay' though and I am getting a bit discouraged and may have to go back to working outside the home.

In my experience, no. Money is not all that matters in my work place. What matters more to me is a supportive group and caring employers.
I have proven it time and time again that money cannot buy real happiness. It's the happiness inside that makes me more fulfilled.

no im not the same.i go for the job i love to do and i am comfortable with...next is the salary,it should be more than i expect it to be...loyalty in companies today you cant see...because of the fast paced work attitude of today we have to change our job for a better one or we will be left behind by our counterparts...so better join the bandwagon get the highest paid work you will ever get,but be prepared and be ready to learn a lot of things because competition is very high and they look for highly qualified for the positions...

just like any other worker who wanted to have a good high paying job,yes im also like them...but the difference with me is that i choose the job i love to do and work in it...but now a days, you have to be good in finding and grabbing the opportunities in front of you and if you dont, somebody will take the best position that should have been for you.so be on guard for the new opportunities grab it as it passes you by...

It depends.. Because there are a lot of factors to consider. It doesn't mean that compensation is high, employee is already fulfilled. For me, I also take into account if the job that I am in provides personal development and I am somewhat happy with the nature of the work.
