Which do you prefer an expensive cellphone or a cheap one?

Some people would laugh if they see someone's using an old model of cellphone. Why?...
Some people will be amazed if they see people using an expensive cellphone displaying in public that would attract everyone's attention (even snatcher too).
Can you explain why for those who have cellphone please?

well some for accesorizing, some are just practical. well i am one of the elite people yet my unit is still the nokia 3315. im no business woman nor a classy lady, im just practical. but still it really depends on your life style. i like to have an expensive phone but it should match my lifestyle to make it worth my money. for instance i lke the samsung X830, its an iPod phone, expansive but still matches my lifestyle. i like music. ^_^ and its not classy, its so simple. ^_^

another addition to this is that, those people(some) who have classy and expensive phones are those who are social climbers those who just want to look classy. to those who are mazed with other people's expensive phones, those are also social climbers and they dont know how to use there money with their lifestyle.

I always prefer cheap phone only and i am still using an old Nokia 1100 phone.I dont like to spend more on cell phones .My purpose of using mobile phone to just recieve any urgent phone calls.Spending large amount on it is foolishness.I dont want to show anything to public and make envy amoung them.I like to same some money for the future.Spending unnessary for unwanded thingd is not good.I think you got the point.

It is not the matter of the price i think its all about your likes you can even have a cheap phone which you like and you can also have the expensive if you like that can so if i like a phone the price is not a matter.

Being a tightwad that I am, I would prefer to have the cheaper phone of course. If I be allowed to explain further, those expensive phones are expensive because of so many features the manufacturer have incorporated in the unit. Now, I am not that much of a techie, I need a mobile phone just for SMS and calls. I don't have use for the other features so I would prefer the cheaper phones that have the basic things that I really need.
