What is "period" in girls........

i am male. and i have heard the word "period" but i dont understand what is called "period"

Every month woman are have ovulation, if the woman didn't pregnant than her ovarium will release that why woman get bleeding every month maybe for 3 until 5 days.
Woman will still have period until they are menepouse, or when they are pregnant.
That a normal for a woman to have menstral.
