skills your child needs to know. i have an 18 year old and know for a fact that they did not teach her anything in school that she will really need for life and i am scared to death for when she goes away to college next year.

You doubt your teaching of your own child? Didn't you set the example and communicate all those growing years? I think she should be fine since it seems you believe the train up the child how they go and when you do and they get older they will not depart of it...thing. I wish you both luck since you could enjoy that when you are missing her and she is learning things and missing home.

That was a very interesting article. It kinda reminds me of the book, Everything I Needed To Know I Learned In Kindergarden.
Many of these things listed in the article are to be taught to the children by their parents. I am sure that you have instilled values in your 18 yr old. Take this summer to review some of the common sense they will need while in college and I am sure everything will work out.
