Because the B series engines are becoming to be rare, hard to get and costly, my discussion focuses on information regarding the new K20 honda engine, The K20 uses and 11:1 compression ratio. The K20 also has the i-VTEC system, the latest version of Honda's variable valve timing. Like the B engines before it, the i-VTEC system switches between cam lobes on both the intake and exhaust cams. However i-VTEC also advances or retards the intake cam timing for even greater flexibility in optimizing valve overlap and power delivery across the rev range.
