How Do You Know True Friend

We all have our own definition of who a friend is. Good. My question is: How do you know a true friend. For me, a true friend will love me all the time. That does not mean that he should condone my misdeed without consciously making effort to help me overcome my weaknesses. A true friend should be bold enough to look at me eye ball to eye ball to even tell me what he sincerely feels to be the right option whenever I become so irrational. This is difficult but has to be done. A true friend should stick to me even when I become a villain to the whole world. Am I ready to be a true friend to someone today. We should know that we can never have any true friend until we ourselves are ready to offer ourselves as true friends to others.
