Why mylot degrated me.

It is not mylot that degraded your star ratings but it was decided by the users, who rate you in every posts and discussions and responses you respond. So, don't worry about it just try to respond conservatively rather than critizising someone or pointing fingers at someone if you are really interested in improving your stars. I really don't care about those stars as it does not significantly impact your earnings that much.

It happens and I'm sure you'll climb back up soon enough. At one point I went from a 8 to a 5 and stayed there for a few days, then jumped back to 8. I believe people rate you (+ or -) depending on your responses, but sometimes it feels so random! I have no idea what I posted that made my 8 go to a 5, or what I posted that made it jump back to an 8. So don't worry, I'm sure you'll get back to your desired number soon enough! Just give it time and keep on posting. :)

Yeah, I agree tht 10 is better then 7 or 8 but it is automated point system and its all depends on the quality of your responce to the discussion. sometimes your responce or the whole discussion is deleted or rejected after giving the reply and thus its effect on the point system whoever give the reply on that discusssion. Use of nice language and proper answer, using proper full word makes your rating improve. your rating also depends on the rating who started the discussion so avoid one line discussion starter. As this much i tell you because rating of mine is also degraded earlier from 91 to 89 and then to 90 and now 87. my advice to not give so much attention to rating as i did earlier also. but too much attention and not to the quality of reply effect the rating. so you better care of your quality reply. bestofluck.

Do not care the reputation in mylot or the rating you gained here but just focus on to the earnings and the enjoy the discussions. Try to understand the word "quality writing" in mylot. and soon you would reach the 100% reputation in mylot is sure. A "10" in the star is 96% and above reputation.

Hmm, I really don't understand why everyone cares so much about a star. It doesn't make any difference and I could care less what my star is. Rated +.

Someone must be rating you with a negtive rating on your topics. This is a good reason for you to have your rating drop from 8 to 7. It's a common thing here on mylot. I've read some other discussions where people where questioning this rating thing. This is what there responses where. Don't worrie about your star it really don't mean much. The other thing is your pertisapation to mylot. If you havn't been able to post at least 5 discussion a day have you been able to respond to any? This is a nother reason for it to drop. Good luck and lets hope that the one person who's been upset with your topics goes away.

i wouldnt worry, it happens to us all. Your star falls or rises by the number of plus and minus ratings your responses get. Consequently, if you never upset anyone you will have a 10, if on the other hand you express your opinion freely, you will fall victim to the negative ratings fairy blessed be

You do not have to worry. MyLot does not give money based on the stars. The stars tell you how the respondent and even those who just read your posts, or your answer on other posts, rate you. There are many reasons why people give minuses, some which are justified ==being plain mean and vindictive, not reading the discussion and responding according to feelings, being a parrot,etc. but some just give minuses to whom they disagree with. Sometimes, the person has been hurt by the subject you are writing about and gives you a minus, but that really does not matter. It took me a while to get a nine and I got down to an eight because I encountered some who automatically gave minuses to anyone who did not have the same views as I did. That might have happened to you, but be glad. You caused people to think and that is the whole point of a discussion.

Hello,sheenshaukat ,I think it is normal to habve fluctuations in earning,you do not need to worry too much about your earing as there is no relationship between earning and rating,also as long as you keep up with a good quality reply,you should be able to have your rating increase when times go by,i will rate you positive to push you up. It happened to me for about a month and not for me and lot of members here. Because of system error going on. And I can tell that they made us panic, even we ae not really affected about wh t happen still were been asking why does it happen. And fortunately after it was done I thought that it gives more courage to me to strive more to give back my stars.
