I love cooking and I often cook for family and friends. I find it easy and enjoy preparing a menu for friends and family. However, the only time I find it hard to prepare a menu is when I invite my date for the first time for a meal. Do any of you find it difficult to cook for your date for the first time? Do you get as stressfull as I am now because I will be cooking for him tomorrow evening? Any ideas on what to cook will be very helpful.

My advice is not to cook anything too fancy. You are going to be worried enough, so don't make it worse by stressing out over a really complicated menu.
When I cooked for my boyfriend the first time, I made him a meal that I was both familiar with making, but also one that showed my background. I also wanted to be careful because I didn't want to make him anything that might have been to adventurous seeming or unfamiliar to him. In the end, I ended up making him spaghetti and meatballs with the sauce and meatballs from scratch. The nice thing is that I could cook most of it the day before.
If you want something more fancy, I would suggest a roast chicken (it's easy and makes a great presentation) or maybe pork or lamb chops. Just stick to what you know and everything will turn out great.
