Does it turn you off to see older women showing off their cleavage. I don't just mean a little bit low top with a tiny bit of cleavage. I mean a lot low with a lot of cleavage. Does it bother you? Do you think older women should show of their cleavage? I dont' mean they can't wear summery tops or bath suits or anything like that. I mean on a regular day whether at work or casual wear should an older women be showing off her cleavage?

ack
I do not think ANY woman should be showing off her cleavage. I am tempted to throw a shawl at them when I see a woman exposing herself in public that way.
I do not like the indecency of it all. have some modesty girls! modesty is the best fashion accessory there is.

Oh I totally agree with you on that. I use to think it was great when I was young. I don't know what was wrong with me. I totally admire the young women who don't have the need to flash themselves. Very mature on their part. I think back to my teens and I am so embarrassed that they is how I got my strokes in life. How sad is that? My daughter went through that fase the past couple of years and oh how I hated it because to me it looked like she was saying, please like me and she probably was because her self esteem had been severly bruised. I am not a again a little bit low cut top but anymore then a hint of a cleavage is over the top as far as I am concerned for any age!

as usuall you see it from the mans perspective not the females!!
Women dont have to wear shaws its not the stone age... a woman has a right to wear what she wants when she wants and it dont give any man or woman the right to tell her what she can or can not wear!!
Now if its a relgious preference then thats another story but you have to still respect those who dont agree with what you believe! Everyone has their own right to live their life the way they want too!!! Isnt that why we live in America for our freedom..... so what gives anyone that right to judge us? no one!!!!!!

Yes I totally agree with you. I recently saw Fantasia Barrino on Regis and Kelly! She is the lady who won American Idol a couple of years ago. I honestly thought her boobs were going to fall out of her dress simply by sitting there and talking; it was very distracking as I found myself holding my breath stressing that it looked like this was going to happen. Later I thought about it and I felt angry. This is morning day time tv. How many young kids are watching this show with Mommy has she drinks her morning coffee. Honestly to me this was beyond a sun dress for the summer and I didn't feel it was an appropriate way to dress for impressionable young boys and girls. I felt mad about this. Some people say we have the right to dress the way we want to. I was in total agreement with that until I started this conversation. Thanks to one of the commentors ( Modestah) I have to ask do we have a right. What about personal responsibility to others! Whether we like it or not our actions and how we dress send messages!

Well, I am an older woman, and I think I am fairly modest. What I was going to say, though, is that you quit showing cleavage when you have age spots, and wrinkles. I think I need some kind of wonderful facial treatment, but not on my face, on my neck and upper chest.I will dress differently in my own yard than I will downtown. I tended never to even wear shorts downtown or off of my property when I was younger. I know one reason, though, was that my husband was driving truck over the road, and I had enough unwanted interest without inviting it. I was much better to look at, too. I guess when I see older women in tank tops and shorts down town, then I assume they have decided to be cool regardless of how it looks. I do not worry about it too much. I have more problems with the ones that are old and think they are fooling you into believing they are young. They have bleached hair and leather tanned skin, and nipped and ticked bodies, and show so much there is nothing left to imagine. I guess it all goes with attitude they carry it with.

Yes it does turn me off to see any women showing their cleavage. I don't think it has anything to do with age ! I just hate it period. I think to myself why doesn't that person go finish dressing . I guess I am old fashioned or what ever. Even my daughter who just finished Bible College doesn't agree with me. She tries to be modest , but our ideas of modesty are a bit different.

well I am 31 and getting older but also I am a big woman! But I think if any woman is proud of who she is and what she looks like I think she can dress and look like whatever she wants! She just has a great self esteem and knows she looks good no matter what anyone thinks... and personally I think that rocks!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it is always a matter of self esteem. I think its often just a matter of being confortable with your body and your sexuality. Some women are comfortable with their sexuality and aren't afraid of it. Some women aren't bothered by stares. They feel these things look good on them and that if men want to stare, so be it. There are other women who wear revealing clothes specifically to get that type of attention. Other women are more conservative in their dress because they are not as comfortable with their sexuality. And yet other women, maybe be confortable with their sexuality, but feel that it is something to be shared in private with someone they love. I don't think this can be answered with one or two answers. I think the reasons vary as much as women vary.

It doesn't have to do anything with age a little cleavage is ok but alot of it showing is a no-no! it's really a turn-off for me. You can be sexy without showing off some skin aight =)
