Hello Hope,it is good to hear from you again, even if it is on such a sad note. you are right,I no longer will buy newspapers nor watch the news on tv,as there is never any good news anymore. I realy blame society for this,as they make the government make stupid laws that take away the right of the parent to disipline their children and teach them manners and compation. A lot of the people that abandon their babies are the young mothers that feel they cannot raise there child proplerly,or in many cases these days,do not want family members even know they got pregnant. One thing to remember Hope,so long as there are people like you around, there is still hope for mankind. Talk to you soon.

It`s a sad thing to say mac but one person has never changed the world yet .There are a lot of caring people but unfortunately the bad ones will always outnumber the good ones . Take care my friend until next time

You are very much right hope. I often feel that way too. In India dumping of female child in trash can or on road has suddenly become a very common thing. Infact I remember there was one report of dumping a girl baby three days old between two walls near the fields where the wall had to be broken to extract the baby out. No one comes to claim these babies. while so many childless couples keep praying for a miracle. I often wonder if these things occured before too and its now that they get media coverage and are reported often. Its becomign a intoelrant world and economic gap between haves and have nots is growing wider each day.

Where have I been.... I havn't herd about the baby in the trash can or the father taking a joy ride and killing his children. I havn't been watching much news latly because of all the sadness in it so I must of missed thoes stories... People can be so careless and than it results in tragity just like the Truck which struck the Train in Kerang killing 11 people...

It is sad the the bad in the world seems to outweigh the good anymore. I can't understand why anyone would harm a child, much less a baby. It's sad and sick. I wish I had something cheerful to say, but sadly, I can't come up with anything. Bless you, Hope. You are one of the genuinely kindhearted people left in this insane world we call home.

Well, I think that the expiry date of the human race is getting closer. We've turned to self destructing creatures. Whether it is violence, war, crimes or even the pollution. It's a crazy world.

Unfortunately these things are what makes the headlines. I think probably they have always gone on in the past but now they get more publicity than they ever did before. The media bring these stories to the fore every day and in some ways that can be a good thing but it can also be as much of a negative. I would prefer if they would also bring some positive news for us too. In the past babies were abandoned at hospitals or else the single mother went to a special home to have her child. Then it was given up for adoption but that does not happen much in Australia anymore these days. Instead, the mother keeps her pregnancy quiet, has the baby and then abandons it. It is happening in many other countries as well sadly. It also happened elsewhere in the past but we did not hear as much international news as we do now, which makes it seem so much worse. I do not think the world is getting worse, but we are made more aware of what happens these days, through the news or the internet. The father joyriding and killing his children when he crashed the car is deplorable. To do that when he had children in the car is totally irresponsible and shows a lack of maturity and judgement. With luck the courts will deal with him harshly but I suspect that it will not be as harshly as he and his family will deal with what happened.
