Commensense told me NOT to use the stuff, but now that summer is here I see ads on TV all the time promoting it because the "sun is bad" for you. Did you know that your chances of getting some form of cancer are greater by using sunscreen than if you didn't? Did you know that the American Cancer Society WANTS you to use sunscreen? Want to know why? Read this informative article to find out why.

I used suntan lotion sp 15, but I figured it didn't do me any good. I don't burn that much and I only tan slightly. Taking it logically, the only people who have to worry are the red heads and blonds who cannot tan. The rest of us more or less do not have to worry. For those like me who live in the Prairies in Canada, there is only three months to enjoy getting a tan and who wants to just go out in the early morning or late at night?

It doesn't surprise me at all. I never use sunscreen anyway because I get sunburned even when I use it, so what's the point? I guess I'm just super sensitive to the sun, so I just stay out of it as much as possible.
I think though that if you got organic sunscreen, it would be safe. It's all the chemicals in regular sunscreen that make it a cancer hazard. Too bad organic stuff is so expensive.
