thank you ! Well, with my first two, as I have said before I was really sick, but this time, I just seem to be really, really hungry! I mean, I'll eat dinner like I usually would and then right after, my stomach will growl...its weird, so I was just wondering if that might be a factor, as twins run in my family...I am so impatient, lol! I have an ultrasound on July 2...=)

I doubt it :) I got really hungry in the beginning but only had 1 but my sister in law was having twins & she never ate a whole lot differently to the way she would without being pregnant.
I don't know about other early signs but she only knew she was having twins after she had the scan, nothing was different for her when she had 1 or 2 in there.
Your best way of knowing is a scan so either book one in or just wait until your next one is scheduled.

I don't think there is any different signs if your going to have twins. With some pregnancies you might be hungrier than other pregnancies, but it doesn't usually mean there is more than one baby. You will have to wait until you have a scan to find out. Hope it all goes well for you.

Yes, I understand, I was the same. I used to get impatient too. It's a very exciting part of your life and you just want to see the baby and make sure everything is ok. Good luck with everything.

Do women who are pregnant with twins, triplets or more exhibit special "symptoms"? Yes ... and no. Just as individual women experience a wide range of symptoms with a singleton pregnancy, so the conditions vary with multiples.
It's true that the morning sickness, exhaustion and weight gain can be intensified in proportion to the number of babies -- twice as sick, three times as tired, or four times as many pounds! But, some lucky moms experience only mild discomfort, so mild that they never even suspect they are carrying multiples.

By the end of the second trimester, most mothers of twins have gained fifteen to twenty-five pounds, whereas singleton pregnancies usually produce gains of ten to twenty pounds. Increased uterus size can be a strong indicator of multiple pregnancy. Some moms of multiples do report that their symptoms were increased with twins,as opposed to their singleton pregnancies. My aunt said that she really experienced these when she was still pregnant with her twins.

More severe early pregnancy symptoms (such as morning sickness) caused by higher hormone levels than moms carrying singles have.
Measuring large for date - which is not the same thing as *looking* bigger, but is based on the size of your uterus compared to when you conceived.
Only your doctor can tell you if your hormone levels are higher than they should be, or if you are measuring large for date.
Often, women are not aware they are carrying twins until they see two babies on the ultrasound or hear two distinct heartbeats at their prenatal appointment.

When I was pregnant with twins, a coworker commented on how big my belly looked for only being 3 months along. She had twins and told me that she carried hers the same way.

he majority of twin moms report that they had the average symptoms, just multiplied. Many reported increased nausea and vomiting, morning sickness. Some complained that the sleepiness was ten times worse than previous pregnancies or what they expected from pregnancy.

it is usually when the doc does the ultrasound as my ex was not even showing till 5 months and they were worried the baby might not be developing but after the ultra sound they sure did.
Ultra sound is the only fersure way that i am aware of.

Since you said you were having your ultrasound done on the 2nd I'm wondering if you know if it's twins or a single yet.
I've talked to a lot of expectant moms now and gotten a lot of different answers. Some say it's no different than any other pregnancy they've had and some have said that the symptoms increased. For me the nausea was worse than when I was pregnant with my son. I never actually threw up with him. The flip side of it is that I was exhausted with him and I haven't been as tired with these two. I was hungry even with the morning sickness this time around, but I was with my son too. Now I'm getting into my second trimester and I'm starving when I get hungry, but get full really easily so end up eating lots of small meals all day.I am getting much bigger, much faster with these two. Part of that may also be because I have had a child before this. The thing that tipped my Dr. off was that my uterus was bigger than he expected. It was a little early to see much when he first did an ultrasound with me, but by the second one there were two babies and two heartbeats. They sometimes have a hard time hearing two heartbeats if they are really closely in sync with each other though.

The only sign of twins that is dependable is the two seperate sounds of heartbeats and the ultrasound....

I was super hungry with my son. I would eat lunch twice a huge dinner and then a big snack. Maybe boys make you eat mroe than girls.
