How does your child say "I'm sorry!"

My little girl gives me a hug, and that's her way of saying "I'm sorry!". And, I'm such a lenient mom, I usually forget about the misbehavior and let it slide.
So, how do your children get out of hot water after they've done something they shouldn't have?

My son is 3 and he says I'm sorry and gives a hug and kiss. Strangers just get a hug, like at the playtown.
Now my 1 year old is giving hugs when she feels bad for somemone.
It really depends on what it was that they did. I also make sure I apologize when I need to.

my little boy will also give me a hug and say "I love you mama". So, instead of getting irritated, I will forget what he did.

my kids caress both of their hands on my cheeks and kiss me.... well however they say sorry is still sweet.

Its funny because my daughter has such a hard time saying she is sorry when she has done something she isnt suppose to...she will rather be in time out then to say sorry for what she has done, shes almost 4 so she is growing into her little attitude phase LOL!
On the days she does apologize she will come by me and say "mommy I gotta talk to you" then she says "you know I love you mommy" I know thats her way of saying Im sorry.
She knows all she has to do is bat those long lashes at me and smile that gorgeous little smile and whatever she has done is forgotten (Unless its something major)
