chicken pox 0r herpes zoster, anyone?

my friends tell me i'm kinda old to have chicken pox. what's worse, they don't call it chicken pox for "mature people". they call it herpes zoster. it doesn't sound really good. i have a lot of dark spots on my skin and my friends say they could easily "spot me" anywhere. any remedies for the dark spots aside from the costly dermatologist?
