Bring Back Owen

I think Liverpool should bring owen back. It is obvious that he wants to come back and the only reason he never came back last time was because Newcastle bid more money for him. For 9 million you can not go wrong and I think he is the natural goal scorer that we need.

I think he would be a waste and his preference to sign for a club with money does not sit well with me. We need players with passion and the desire to wear the shirt again - remember a certain Robbie Fowler?

it seems those days are long gone,,,the only passion most players express these days is when they open their bank statement at the end of the month...they run to the crowd and kiss their badges, wear t-shirts professing their loyalty.."once a blue always a blue" a la Rooney etc while all the time thye are only interested in the next contract.. money and TV has ruined the game as most people knew it..already before the new stadium has started LFC season ticket have incresed in price to £600..an increase of about 15%....hey LFC.. the fans dont get increases of LFC proportions.. we are lucky to get ANY increase....an overpaid bunch of prima donnas with half the skill and sportsmanship of the so called "olden days"..give me the 70s any day when you could see great and honest players playing their hearts out, for, in a lot of cases, their home town clubs.... ahhhh nostalgia..its a thing of the past!!!

I was gutted when lpool sold him to Madrid but to be honest we have not missed him one bit due to his injuries,im 100% certain he has lost his amazing pace he once had.So will he ever regain the form he showed at lpool or will he just be another high earner on Newcastles books. My money says hes finished, but i hope he proves me wrong, your thoughts please........

Michael owen is a proven striker but the problem with Owen is that the team has to play the way he likes to play...to build a championship winning side you need players in a tream who can adapt and play different ways..aside from that does Owen still have that knack of scoring, does he still have the desire and appetite..im not sure ...however it may be worth a gamble as in real terms it would cost the club nothing..remember he came throug the ranks and was sold to madrid for 8 million. if we have to pay 9 million then thats a bargain as the net price is 1 milion..yes he could be a useful meber of the squad

I think Owen is still the best striker around. When you talk about Strikers your not talkin fowards your talking about people who put the ball in the back of the net. Who better than Owen, with a 1 on 1 opportunity with a keeper, i wudn't put my money on any other player. Wish he'd come back to us. hope he does.

I say we bring him back ONLY if we pay not more than 6 million for him. I don't see any sense in shelving out so much on a striker especially when he's a lot less prolific and unfit than when he left in the first place. I'll probably eat my words, but Owen needs his first team football, and he won't move unless we guarantee it. Besides, why didn't he pledge that he wanted to come back to Liverpool before he joined Newcastle?
