Most of us meet with accidents all the time. Some are minor and some could be major. Tell us what happened to you in an accident and how did that have an effect on your life. What were the immediate thoughts that rushed up into your head?

Couple of years ago,I was driving driving Suzuki Omni on a highway and it was raining heavily and I did not notice there was an head on collusion between a oil tanker and a goods laden vehicle. The entire area was spilled with oil. When I applied the break, the vehicle danced like someone dancing on a dance floor and fell into a 10 ft ditch. Since I could all the happenings I protected myself by sleeping on the seat and luckily nothing happened. The vehicle first hit the parapet wall and then fell into ditch. It was fully damaged and I had to sell it through salvage collector and claimed the money from insurance. If it had happened suddenly, I would have taken heavenly abode.

I have driven for many years, but met with very few accidents. But there is one I vividly remember. It was at a time when I was still in the university. One day, when I was driving towards a college to pick up my girlfriend (who's now my wife), I met with a bad accident.
I was driving by the entrance to a construction site, and out of the blue, a construction vehicle (the type that is used to carry sand and bricks) which was driven by a Korean, came out backwards from the site and into my path. It seemed to be out of control, and there was not a chance that I could avoid it because things happened so suddenly. The truck crashed into the side of my car as I passed. The great impact caused the front and back doors of my car to be ripped open. Luckily, it was on the passenger side and I had no passengers in my car at that time. The impact also caused my car to be displaced to the right, and the right side hit a stone kerb outside a house.
After the truck hit my car, it continued out of control and landed upside down in a drain. Luckily the guy wasn't hurt badly, but I had a bad bump on my head as a result. The impact was so loud it was frightening. I had terrible nightmares weeks after that incident, because the scene kept playing in my mind. The damage to my car was so bad, it ended up in the workshop for a whole month. I have never had such a bad experience driving since that incident.
