What got you started on Metric?

The first song I listened to was Grow Up And Blow Away. That got me hooked. Most of my friends get started with Combat Baby. What about you guys?

The first song I heard by them was Calculation Theme. It completely gripped me - I'd never heard anything like it. I heard it on an afternoon radio show on CBC a number of years ago, and I just had to look them up!
I got to see them play live last November, and they were fantastic! I highly recommend seeing them live as they put on a great show.

I was always hearing Monster Hospital everywhere so I looked up the band and started listening to their other stuff. I love them!

I just found Metric 2 days ago because my good friend "Peaches" listens to them. I'm addicted to "The Twist". I put it on repeat and cillax. I love these guys and the fact that they are Candian makes me happier. I love finding good music.

It all started with a mix I got from a friend who, by the way, has excellent taste in music. It was the song "Too Little Too Late". Such a great track. Since then I've heard all their albums and all of Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton. Her voice is just incredible.
