schools out

I say that all the time and then when they do go back to school I hate the rush of all the school activities.Our summer hasnt been like it is normally. I have 2 kids in drivers ed , I have had to drive them back and forth for that. This has been a pretty decent summer so far, we have spent nights in the motel where their dad is . And his job just moved again so we are leaving today to spend the night and fathers day with him.

My children have been out of school for 2 weeks now and yes, they are driving me crazy. But in all honesty it really isn't their fault. We have had only had a few days, maybe 3 if we are lucky, where it hasn't rained. I will be so happy when it stops so I can ship them all out the door to play until their heart's content. I would give anything to have a year around school, I personally think summer break is too long just for the simple fact the get bored after a while. Our school year last from about August 15th or so until the Friday before Memorial Day. Well that is a normal school year, this year we had to make up 6 days due to a winter storm that left ice and bitter cold temps. So ask me again in another month and I bet you my answer will be yes! I can not wait until they go back to school.

I think those are the most used words during any summer for most parents...lol. And here I thought you were always an angel. We spent most of the time outside during the summer. Now, I think kids spend more time inside watching TV or playing video games.
