ryan babel - marco van basten described him as 'the next theirry henry', i like him very much too, 6million for a great youngster, this is juz a great bargain! florent malouda - freddie is juz out of form las season, hleb dribbling more than necessary, a pacey winger would b an excellent addition, but 17 million? wenger might think twice! david trezeguet - another favourite for me, only 10 million for a great striker like him. his partnership with henry is really mouth-watering (although the world cup 2002 nightmare juz proved otherwise, with france scoring nothing) :) i prefer him to join anyway, at least a superstar this summer :) bakari sagna - arsenal offered aj auxerre for this guy, who juz got called up for national team for euro08 qualifier recently, dont know him very much but i think wenger would b right about him curtis davies - 8million for an english defender? u can buy so many Kolo Toure(150K) with that price! confirmed transfers : lukasz fabianski(GK) Havard Nordveit(D) what's ur opinion of these guys? i personally preferred trezeguet n babel to join cuz i think that's the area that needs big improvement, another stable defender would b good too :)

I think Ryan Babel (AM) and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (S) should come in, tough on Ajax fans but that's life. Between them they scored 49 premiership goals last season in Holland, plus Babel is having/had a great U-21 tournament and can also play up front (at time of writng, Holland are European U-21 finalists). OK RVP will be back and possibly Henry but Arsenal will need at least 6 decent strikers next season if they want to do well in all competitions (look at Manu U last season) If Nordveit turns out to be good then he is a bargain at 2 million. Maybe Arsenal do need another centre-back, Walcott can fill in a RB if necessary, for the rest I don't know. I agree that decent English players are expensive but if they're good enough then Wenger should be allowed to buy them. I think this season Arsenal will win something and Walcott will prove himself.

I would love to see Florent Malouda in Arsenal. First of all the player is French, so Arsene would be immediately comfortable with him. Trezeguet has somehow not impressed me much and his game seems to be more suited for direct clubs like Man U rather than the flowing graceful football of Arsenal Football Club. I am really hoping that the youngsters that Arsenal invested in the last couple of years now begin to bear fruit for the club and start showing their mettle. Cheers! Ram
