I went to a co-ed school.
Advantages of going to co-ed school is that you will learn how to communicate with guys and girls at school. This is very important when you come out into the real world and get a job. You need to interact well with each other regardless of the gender and also people networking is important for you to get to certain stage of your career. The disadvantage is that because when puberty hits, there will be all sorts of boys + girls + relationships problems and you can't concentrate on your study.
For a one gender school advantages and disadvantages will be vice versa to the above reasoning for co-ed school. My brother goes to a single gender school that is famous for top results in the state. My mum once said that she kind of regret that my brother went to a single gender school because my brother is shy or can't communicate properly when he's with girls.
I guess it depends on what you're into, study hard or excel in communication.
