i would guess he is shy for not asking himself, but its a way of getting to know someone so i dont see why a man shouldnt ask for a girls number. I wouldnt mind it if i was out with my mates and someone asked for my number and i was single, but i would rather he came up to me and chatted for a bit, then asked for my number

Oh ok, but yeah hes kind of shy and is nervous of how the girl might react like reject him or something so thats why he does this and yes shes single.

Oh and he goes to the same school and you have her on one of your classes but she doesnt talk to you.

i would say, get chatting to her in class or something if you can, i know its easier said than done but what have you got to loose, if she dusnt like him or rejects him then she wasnt for him and he will find someone who likes him for him in the end.

I dont think anything but i will surely think that why cant he get that number on his own..and surely i will not give my number through that person..! i want that whom so ever want my number should ask me personally and i will then decide to give it or not..but i will surely not give my number through that person..its not the question of trusting n all..but i dont like that kind of approach..i will think that the boy who asked my number through another person is timid..!

oh i see so what if he does it hes to scared and he just tells his friend to do it his friend does it and the girl says she has to know you better????????? what you think about this?????/

Well, if a guy doesn't have enough nerve to come up to you themselves and talk to you, then they don't deserve your phone number. I would never give my phone number to any guy that I don't know. If they have to ask a friend to get your phone number, he's probably not going to be worth your time anyway. Just my opinion!
