Living in Lake Charles

Just curious as to who has ever lived in or spent lots of time in Lake Charles. Unfortunately I was born and raised there. Ha ha. It's not as bad as I used to think, but still can be pretty dreadful. I guess I'm just inquiring as to what life is like in old Lake Chuck these days. I remember before Rita, Shakey Ground Cafe was my hang out when I lived there. Late at night we'd always go to KD's for coffee and cigarettes. When our friends' bands were playing we'd head to Rickenjack's. I guess I'm a bit nostalgic-feeling at the moment. I almost miss the place.
