My favorite dogs are pugs i have 3 of them and they are awsome, smart, loving, and great with kids, and have personality. I have a black one he is 1year old and his name is ask'em, i have one that is 7 years old and his name is crash and he is a fawn pug, and last but not least i have a 6 month old beautiful little girl and she is a fawn as well. I love them dearly and they make fabulous family in door pets.

I have two german shepherds. They love living in a house but one used to live outside 24/7 and still likes to spend extra time outdoors when he can. I have a run set up for him since I don't have a fenced yard and he won't stay if he's loose. I also like labs - they are wonderful dogs. Cocker spaniels are smaller but supposed to be similar in personality to my shepherds.

Mine is also Nine, and he sure dosent act like a puppy. I thought about getting one to help make him want to be young again. But then again he has been alone for so long, and puppies need so much attention i think he would feel neglected.
I dont really mind, he sleeps all day and is ready to beloved on when i come home. Hes a little big but his favorite thing to do is snuggle up with me on the couch when i am watching tv.

I just love dogs. I don't have a favorite breed. Though I have a soft spot for mutts. They just are the best kind of dogs. Give me any dog though and I'll probably fall in love with it. hehe

Calais - I'm afraid of Dobermans because of an experience I had as a child. Some people in the neighborhood had them. You couldn't walk by their house in the street without the dogs wanting to break their chains and get you. Sometimes they did and you had to run for your life and usually got bit. Was it because of the owner's training or are these dogs so protective they consider even children a threat?

It's a toss-up. We have had labs, lab/wolf mixes and german shephards. I can't decide between them.
My lab was such a big goof ball, you HAD to love her!
The mix was sweet but VERY protective of us.
The shepard was protective of EVERYTHING. She grabbed the tv repairman when he tried to take the tv to his truck!
We don't have dogs now. Between working, the long commute and housework, I just don't have the energy for a dog.

I think one of our cats was a dog in another life. He is in the window meowing when we put keys in the door and he turns around 2-3 times before laying down.
So maybe I DO have a dog...LOL

I've learned over the years that I can't really judge a breed without spending time and getting to know the dog first. 5 years ago I would've been totally against pitbulls, but since getting into a relationship with someone who owns a pitbull/lab mix dog my view has totally changed! So, at the moment I think I like pitbulls, particularly pit/lab mixes.

We have had labradors for years now and loved them all. Some have had their problems like any other dog and it is always hell to say goodbye to them.*sob*We have had two litters of puppies, 10 in one and 7 in the second and they are the most effective time wasters ever! You just can't tear yourself away from them they are so gorgeous.
Right now we only have one little beauty, Ruby. She is by far the most loving lab we have had. She just LOVES all dogs and all humans and is right by my feet under my desk as I write this.
She is also one of the quietist labs I have known. Hardly a bark from her in 18 months.
She hasn't come into season yet which is a bit of a worry but a friend of ours said that one of her collies didn't show for over two years! Very tricky when you want to breed from them.
Before we breed we will have her hips, elbows and eyes checked (or scored as the Kennel Club say) to make sure she has no inherited problems. It should be ok because her dam and sire were both very good. We have a list of suitable mates lined up who are lovely dogs with good natures and loving owners. At £500 or a $1,000 a puppy you have to take all precautions!
