Do you take lenses for your eyes?

I don't have strong lenses of that kind, but still they have power in them.. My left eye is .5 and right one 1.5, and that's not much.. I always prefer lenses to spectacles...

i have glsses and i'm comfortable with that...any way i wouldn't use lenses becuase of dirty in our city...it makes me feeling so bad.

No I do not use lense as my eye sight is very fine till this time. I can read, write, see anything very well even in darker hour. My eyes are 100% perfect. So no question of using lense. When we grew up and cross 40 years of age, the need of lense arises gradually. Many teen aged girl/boy has to use this because of the sight problem. This problem is linked to genetic. If the parents have eye sight problem, then children will also face. My parents have no problem so I am also free from this disease.

i had used lenses only once and it caused a lot of inconveniences to me. thus i have switched back to spectacles.

I use contact lens as well as glasses. I use glasses when I ride my bike, but when I read or stay at home I prefer contact lens. I use -7 for the both the eyes. I have using this for over ten years now and yea the power has increased. But I was told that the power would get stable only when I stop growing. And it is stable now. I think instead of getting worse when we use glasses, it's the other way round. If we don't use glasses we strain our eyes so much, and it affects the eyes. In fact using glasses of correct power is much better than not using at all once our eyes needed support. I think if one looks awful because of high power glasses one can go for contact lens. The problem with contact lens is that one has to keep it clean all the time, and it's difficult to use it when it's windy cos our eyes get dry.

hello friend, this problem of eyesite is really very irritating at times.i do use glasses and its been 5 years now.i just hate them.but i have to wear them.i had some minor defect and doctor advised me to put the glasses on and it will be rectified with constant use.but as you told the problem got worse day by day and the prospect of correction to it vanished. today also i have to put them on as i am addicted to it.but i am using contact lenses most often now.i prefer spectacles whenever i am at home as they are more relaxing.

I have to have glasses because otherwise I wouldn't even be able to recognize people I know. =( I started wearing them when I was about 10 years old, and even then they were fairly strong in order for me to be able to see. It's true that the ones I have now are much stronger than the ones I had then, because my eyes have continued to deteriorate. Now there are surgeries that can be done to fix many eye problems, but I'm too squeamish to have it done. I don't think that glasses are the reason why my vision has gotten worse. As you get older, your eyes and most other parts of your body just get less healthy. I've known many people who didn't need to use glasses when they were younger who later needed them.

I wear daily contact lenses. They are comfortable and keep my eyes quite moist. One box for each eye lasts a month. When I first go contact lenses they lasted for two weeks. These were difficult to keep clean whilst travelling. Then I got contact lenses for a month. These were not very comfortable because my eyes kept getting dry. I got glasses for reading when I was 10 years old. My eyes seem to get worse over the years. I ended up having to wear them nearly all the time. So at 21 years old I got contact lenses. I liked this more because it gave me a better view. I didn't have to change from normal glasses to sunglasses when it got sunny outside. I know that people can improve their eyesight if they reduce their lenses in power. This would be expensive to do though. My sister has poor eyesight. She refuses to wear glasses. The fact that she doesn't wear glasses has made her eyesight stay the same. Yet with the help of glasses and contact lenses my eyesight has got worse.

hi friend, i am modernindia , my name show is related to indian modernisation but friend a modern thinks are not good for us .ok now i am come to the point of your discussion.friend lenses is good if you use it by proper care for example friend before using lens you can wash you eyes and hand properly because your are not clean before it using then it is injurious to your eyes . so if you able to use it by proper precaution then u can use it otherwise not. bye
