Why did Molly Shannon leave?

Tonight Molly Shannon was on a Saturday Night Live show repeat. But, I can remember when she was a show regular. She was one of the funniest cast members of the show. Does anyone know why she left Saturday night live? Or, what she's been doing since her departure?

Molly joined SNL in 1995 and left in 2001 to concentrate on a movie career. The latest movie she was in that I know of is "Year of the Dog". She has been in several other movies too. Shallow Hal, Scary Movie 4, and Santa Claus 2 to name a few.
