A couple of days ago, while I was starting a new discussion, I realize something... now a days we use some words far to often... I mean meaningful words, words that should mean a lot, words with special content... we use them so often that the real content is fading away... and then... then what? we end up with empty words... words that aren't saying anything, that don't express a thing, that are just like a framework...
ever happen to you?

"flowery words"? wow nice expression... it really catches the essence... but you shouldn't rely on what people are saying here... cos people are saying all kinds of stuff... some times they don't make themselves understood... it happened to me to a couple of times
I'm referring more to real life stuff:)
thank you for answering;)

I understand just what you mean. Words with strong meaning like love or hate are used so often it begins t ofade the strength of the word.
The same thing happens with swearing. My stepdad used to swear more than anyone, if he was excited or angry or something I've seen hime use 3 or 4 F's and more in a single sentence. When you get used to it, it doesn't have the same effect.
I think the solution is to use better words. When you look at a thesaurus there are usually plenty of beeter words to use than these over-used ones.
