voip v landline

what do you think of voip (voice over internet protocol). do you think it is competetive enough to compete with landline phone services

Voip is great but not yet as reliable as your regular landline so it would take more time before it can be compare with landline. But for the meantuime, voip for long distance calls are great for savings.
