Why Should we(men) not ask the AGE of a women?

When we ask the age of a women it is said that it is bad manners to do so. But it is not in case of men's age. WHY?

I think it is not bad to ask a girl about there age coz if I'm the one you will ask for my age I will not deny it and I don't think I have to deny it in what porpose should I hide it.

well I think you are a very open hearted female, but many of them dont want their age to come forward.

It's seen as being polite if you don't ask.
Aslo it's pretty much outdated now, but once upon a time women didn't even consider telling someone how old they were.

even though old tradition, when a female does not want to reveal her age 'bad manners' tag is attatched to you.

Indeed it is.
Although if you we're to be picky, you could put out it's much politer to ask the age than it is to judge someone or make someone else feel bad about asking a simple question. lol
