Will being baptized help?

I want to be baptized, however...Something is holding me back.
I am very young in age, probably more young then you think I am. My words are big and my voice is deep, but I'm not so old at all. But anyway, I'd like to know what you think about this:
My faith is a roller coaster, leaning in the direction of Christianity. I will never truly lose faith. However, sometimes I am at a lower level of faith, sometimes I am very faithful... When I see something that is discouraging, I usually think of something that is encouraging, and I don't mean something random, I usually think of something that ... This is really hard to explain, this part, basically, I just think of something that doesn't prove what they said wrong, but kinda leaves you thinking "Hmmm...It makes sense either way." Which encourages me, and gets my faith higher.
Will getting baptized help me stay with high faith for more then a week or so?
I never want to lose faith...Without Christianity, I am a wreck. I'm nothing and I will never deny that I am nothing without it, because it's horrible just thinking about what I would be like without being Christian.
I know I should be baptized.
But should I be baptized if I am not in too high faith? Is that okay? Will it help, or will it not help?

There is a lot moe to being baptised then just being dunked under water. You need to study all about it with a strong bible beleiving church. Baptisim is an out ward promising to work toward being like Jesus. It means working toward living a more Christ like life every day. Study from these websites

Every Christian has moments of doubt. God will give us more faith as we continue on. I would say you need to read the Bible more often and attend a Bible believing church if you have not done already. Baptism is the means of grafting you into the Church. In many churches including my own they have infant baptism, but if you have never been baptized as an infant, then the pastor and elder will want you to know a bit more about the doctrine of your church. If they know that you have studied the bible, maybe taken lessons or catechism and expressed your desire to live life as a Christian, then you will be baptized. God understands your faith is wavering, it is the struggle all of us go through. And the best wishes if you have already made the decision and are not baptized.

Being baptized is only an outward demonstration of being buried and then raised with Jesus. It will not save you nor cleanse you from any sins or join you to a church. It is being obedient to identify with the Lord. When I became a new believer almost 24 years ago, my faith was up on Sunday and by Saturday night, way down. I started going to Bible studies and Wednesday night services. That is what kept my faith growing as I learned about the Lord and became closer to Him. You will only become strong by having spiritual food - your Bible is food for your soul and spirit. Just as you eat for strength to your body, you must feed your soul and spirit. Read your Bible faithfully, every day, get something out of it to apply to your life for that day. Find good teachers of the Bible on the internet. I like K-House.org. Excellent teaching verse by verse. Find a mentor, someone older in the faith to teach you. Don't be discouraged, you will win the prize if you run the race. Keep your eyes on Jesus! God bless you and I'll see you at Home (Heaven)!

Hunny being baptized is something we do to show the world we have asked Jesus into our heart. Just as Jesus was Baptized we follow His example. Have you asked Jesus into your heart? Have you asked Him to forgive you of your sins? If you can answer yes then the next step is being Baptized. BUT being Baptized is not going to save you. Being Baptized is just how we show the world that we got saved. If you feel the need to be Baptized that may be God telling you it is time for you to do this. What kind of Church do you go to? Are you reading Gods word.
