While at a local mall with my wife, my daughter, and 2 grandsons there was an area set off in the aisles with an interactive action activated game set up for kids called REACTRIX! It is a rubber white mat on the floor with a projection TV showing the game on the floor. Now there were maybe 10 different types of games shown that my grandsons and other kids enjoyed while visiting this area. One was Soccer where when anyone kicked the ball projected on the floor it would move in that direction etc. A shooting type alien game. Many others. Of course there was also ads for stores in this mall. But even those had interaction things on them. Like one ad had present boxes all around it. the kids hit the boxes and they'd move in that direction. Now this was amazing. Heck I even got into playing the shooting type games. Have you ever seen this type of game/advertizing in malls near you? If not what do you think of them? I thought it was so cool looking and very entertaining for the kids small and big alike. Here's an attatched photo of the game with kids playing it.

I know exactly what your talking about, Grandpa Bob. The mall by us has one of those projection mats. My daughter found it one day last year when we were shopping in the mall. Hubby and I couldn't figure out what got her so entranced until we went over to see what the big deal was. I ended up getting hopelessly hooked on it and hubby tried for over 1/2 hr. to drag us away from it. lmao Very addicting and entertaining. There were popcorn kernels that when stepped on, would explode in popcorn, presents that would 'unwrap' when stepped on..I could go on and on. Now hubby don't want my daughter and I to tag along whenever he goes to the mall. lol

I haven't seen those around here yet. Of course, it's been a while since I've been to Toys 'R' Us. It sounds like a lot of fun. I think I would be right there with the kids playing along. Heck, I might be worse than the kids. LOL At least it's something that gets them moving around instead of sitting all day playing video games or watching tv. Much better for getting them to exercise too.

Wow! There are so many new games for kids nowadays. This one looks very good, as they get to move & do things I gather, not just sit in front of a computer killing people.
I haven't seen it before. I bet it costs a lot.
I think a family would need a lot of floor space to play this game.
I rated your photo & wrote a comment.

Not really a lot of space. The floor (game) mat is maybe 6 feet by 4 feet is all. The projection TV is the heavy item and it hangs from above. So a sturdy ceiling or a great bracket is called for. I loved it myself. A lot of fun and good motor skills needed.

Wow, that is really neat. Since there is no mall here in which to see ANYTHING, I'll say that, no, I have not seen anything like this before! I have to travel 3 hours to get to a mall and seldom bother. I shop online. When I visit my children, we always go to a mall, but the last time I did that was last December. At that time there was nothing like that in the mall that we visited (Baltimore, MD). I so wish that I lived nearer to a mall. EVen if I don't spend a dime, I enjoy walking through one. It is good exercise and fun! (I love to watch people and window shop!)The game sounds like a great one for children. Anything that gets them up and moving.

Yeah the kids' had a blast. Everyone of them that was there playing. This is a shot of them playing it also. I imagine it's a costly game for the general public to own. The projection TV was huge hanging from the ceiling. I don't know if it is available to the general public or not. Thanks for the response also. I enjoy people watching at malls a lot also. I go to the mall of america for that activity often. In fact I think I may go there tomorrow early evening before I pick the wife up. Maybe. Maybe not. HAHA!!!

Sounds fun..
I actually haven't heard of it but it sound similar to the Itoy.
It's great that shopping centres do this sort of thing for the kids. One of the ones within the city I lived allowed 5-10 year olds, hours on the ps3 when it was first winding down to the launch. (they also had a crash area)
Pretty fun.
Cheers for sharing.

P.s It's a shame they don't have one here I love football (soccer)

I have never seen this type of game. It sounds pretty awesome though and I bet they will sell a lot of them! I like they idea that the players have to be active for this type of game. It sounds much more interesting than the regular old board games. I will have to look for it the next time I go to the mall!
