Mu husband has always said that if he needed to have surgery that he would not do t, I told him he is being ridiculous, i just had surgery, they took out my gallbladder, now he is maybe looking at surgery for a torn rotator cuff. We do not know yet, all the test results are not in yet. But, he is being a total baby about it. I told him he will have the surgery if the doctor says he needs it. I will make sure of it, I do not know if he realizes it or not that if he leaves it untreated, he could become disabled for life. So tell me are you scared to have surgery

Of course it's a complicated situation, too scary if we think of negative things.
If it's really needed for our health, then he should not be afraid of the operation to make his life long so tell him not too, that he'll be alright.

Not only scary to think about, but he does not understand how you cannot feel anything while you are in surgery, I have tried to explain it to him, but it just does not seem to sink in.

Surgery is a scary thing I have had my gallbladder out and I have had to have other surgeries after a car accident. Sometimes it is nessasary to have it! If it can be avoided the try to avoid it but like me and you we had no choise! The gallbladder can burst and kill you I know for it almost happened to me! I made it to the hospital just in time!
