I asked that question a couple of days ago. The main response I got was that you get a star when you've reached 100 posts. Depending on the ratings that you get from other people, that determines what color star you get and what number is in your star. If you have a 10 in your star, I think the color is blue and you have the upper 90s to 100 in ratings. I hope that makes sense.
