what it's like to be a single mom

i always thought that moms are the greatest persons in the world. they are like wonder woman who can always do the impossible. and i admire most those single moms who in one way or another has the energy and resourcefulness to solve any problems which come their way.

I proudly says that I am a single mom of a three month old baby boy. I was afraid at first that I may not be able to play my role as a mother to my son but when I was able to experience the hardships during my labor I told myself that my journey as a mother begins when I heard his cry. Lots of sleepless nights and i almost lost my temper when it is hard to let my baby go to sleep because he feels something I don't know. It's really hard to be a single mom because we got no one to share with our feelings. We have no oneto share our hardships in times that our baby got sick. Thats why I admire single mothers who go all the way for their children. I admire their strength to go on with life even if they are alone inspite what the people says about them being single moms. Well, all I can say is be proud that we are single moms because the future of our children depends upon us. i love u baby john zaiferd

I salute you for being brave at this point in your life when you really need someone to share the hardships of bringing up a young mind like your baby john to the world. I guess you're far more better than anybody else coz you will be able to instill in your son's heart the love and care that a mother will always give to their children. Inspite of the fact that we will be raising our children alone, it gives us the courage to overcome problems coupled with responsibilities. Even do our partners are not with us, we should not deprive our children of knowing who their fathers are. Because without them, our children will not be with us today. They are a participant in this crime we've done to bring them to the world.

...it sure is not a crime to bring a lovely human being into the world. though it sure would be nice to have a partner to share the joys and difficulties that goes with it - but in my opinion it is better to raise the child alone in real love and affection as to share life/child with someone who is afraid of any resposibility. i can´t imagine anybody looking down on single moms - if there are than they are those people who hve no idea what it is to have a child, are simply hypocrites thinking highly of themselves - simply ignore such people...i have much respect for single moms!!!

I do appreciate your effort in sharing your views on this topic since there is no one who can tell how single moms are other than moms too. The hardwork and sacrifices that women do just to fulfill the requirements of being a mother and more efforts to be a "good" mother is another thing.

absolutely, that's true. single moms can be both a mother and a father at the same time. since they raise their kid alone, they have more responsibilities being a parent. i admire them for being so strong and brave in facing all the trials alone.
