I have an addiction to water boiled with coriander seeds. I prepare it in home itself. It is very important for me to drink it before going to bed.
But I don't get any problems if I am not drinking it also.. In that sense it is not a very big addiction.

Wow, that's not good. I don't think I have any addictions. Ok, well, I can't go anywhere without my cellphone. Not even the bathroom. Would that make it an addiction????

Finally! I've found someone with the same addiction to Diet Coke as I do. lol My friends always joke around with me about how I ALWAYS have a can of Diet Coke in my hand and I get mad if a vending machine is out of Diet Coke and I have to settle for Diet Pepsi - it's just not the same and it goes flat easily. I also get headaches if I don't have one, but I believe that's from the lack of caffeine intake that I'm used to.
I'm not sure if we (USA) took something out of it linked to cancer but I did hear where they had a huge news report on the television about two weeks on how addicting Diet Coke is.

I'm with you on this. I've never been able to wake up in the mornings to a cup of coffee. It just doesn't have the same effect as Diet Coke - it's wild.
Also, Diet Coke has that crisp taste that doesn't leave an after taste in my mouth. It's like other sodas are too sugary and other diet drinks are either too flat or just plain have no taste at all, atleast not a good one anyway. Both kinds leave me feeling I need a Diet Coke to get the after taste out of my mouth.
I've also tried drinking healthier with flavored water but it's just too bland for me. I always get fussed at for drinking so much Diet Coke 'cause the aspartame isn't good for your kidneys, but I can't seem to break my addiction.
Have you tried substituting it with some other kind of drink?

pleased to meet you, my fellow diet coke adddict. people laugh at me and say you cant be that adddicted, but i am!! Do you find though drinking a cup of coffee wont quirst your desire for the diet coke? I know its meant to be the caffeine we are addicted to, so how come a coffee wont do it for me? any suggestions?

I was addicted to gambling, still working on it. My biggest problem is boredom, but I am controlling it now. Now this site is becoming addictive, lol.
I used to like drinking diet coke, but then I read it is really bad. The espartam (artificial sugars) is really bad for you. Look it up, causes: seizures, panic attacks, a whole heap of health problems. It really scared me, did not know artificial sugars could be so bad. I used to get panic attacks all the time. Now I don't since I have stopped drinking or taking diet products.
