If you're looking at Disney World in Florida, the cheapest place to stay and still get all of the benefits of staying on the property (early entry, extra hours, free transportation) is Ft. Wilderness in either a tent (bring your own), popup, or RV. The prices are generally half of any other on site property. If you want a hotel room on the property, there's several modestly prices hotels - Pop Century is one - that run $81 during the value season, $100 during the regular season. Now if you want to stay at Disneyland in California, we had good luck last year with America's Best Inn. Inexpensive and older, but it has a microwave and a refrigerator and was mostly filled with other families. The best part is that it's on the Anaheim Resort Transit route - very convenient and saved us tons in parking.
