I remember that all too well! I had to get braces twice when I was younger. I had them on for 9 months the first time and they took them off too soon. My teeth moved. I got them again for 6 more months. One of those times (I forget which), I got them right before Thanksgiving. All I could eat for Thanksgiving dinner was stuffing and cranberry sauce. Can you take some pain medication like Tylenol and eat quick while it is working??? Good luck!

Yes. Wearing braces really affect eating. I have worn braces about 12 years ago. The first day after I wore the braces, I couldn't eat solid food the whole day. My mouth felt like it was swollen and all my gums ached. Fortunately I found a solution to my eating problem. I bought packets of instant mix mashed potatoes and that was my staple food for the next four days!
On the fifth day, I couldn't tolerate my hunger anymore. I had to eat some solid food, so I didn't care about the pain anymore. I just ate rice and didn't think about how painful it was. Well, at first I felt like crying but after a week the pain subdued or maybe I didn't care anymore.
After one week, I ate normally. My mouth blistered all over but I think my mouth had been immune to the pain. Lol.

Hello Raezilicious, He he he I know the feeling. :-) I had my braces when I was still studying in collage. I hate those time when my dentist replace and adjust the wire, urgh. I hurts and I can't eat well, much worst if you see your favorite food on your meal. Lolz.. :-)
