Having others

Hi, For me if my partner cheated on me this means he is ending everything we have.. cheating is the worst thing that can be done to destroy a relationship. I know so many people who had cheaters partners yet continued in the relationship after making sure their partner stopped it for sure. For me I think this can't e done... I have been in a situation where my boyfriend cheated on me with my best friends, he tried very hard but thanks to God non of them accepted. I kicked him out of my life for ever. For me a cheater is forever a cheater.

It would break my heart. I don't think I could bear it. I am married and will be married 12 years in July. I married my high school sweetheart and we have been together 17 years. I can't imagine him being with anyone else. I don't think I would be able to bear it. I would feel defeat.

For us, it would depend on the other circumstances. My partner & I, although at this time monogamous have discussed having a poly relationship. As long as he was honest with me about his other interests & as long as it wasn't taking away from our relationship, I would be comfortable with him having another partner. If he were lying about it, especially since he knows that I would be open to the idea, that'd be a whole other matter.
