Flatworms

I had been biten by some creatures before when I was swimming in the beach. I was wondering what bit me until I saw on the TV which shows about marine creatures. I suspect that it was flatworms. The bite marks was dotted and it was red. It looked quite awful and it sure was painful. It took me more than 1 month to heal. Does anybody know about flatworms? Does it bite? Is there anybody who experience nasty things in the beach or sea?? I was really curious of what actually bit me. Because of that, I was quite traumatised. I was a little afraid when swimming in the sea.
