Anybody ever play any of the original Castlevania games on the NES? I have played all 3 of them and it was really one of the most interesting games out there. It's another I think mainstay franchise that's been around for quite some time.
Which one of the 3 original Castlevania games did you enjoy the most out of all 3? For some reason, I liked the 3rd one mainly since I could switch characters after rescuing them for a dark curse. In Castlevania 3, the best character I find is Alucard since he can get out of almost any jam you could name.
I did enjoy Simon's Quest but the big thing that annoyed me and it was probably very minor was the constant pausing every 5 minutes it seemed like going between day and night. It was different on the count of having 3 possible endings to the entire game. One that most likely happened and 2 that didn't happen at all.
The 1st however was interesting to say the least as it told the basic story of trying to hunt and kill Dracula. That's what I got out of it to be quite honest. It was somethign you had to race against the clock to get out of the area.
So, if you had to pick from the 3 NES games which one was the best of the 3 to be honest?

I've played the original Castlevania. It's a good game. I haven't really played the sequels. Castlevania can be hard too. I'm not a huge fan of the games, but I do enjoy the first one. I still have yet to beat the first one, but I would like too. It just dosen't interest me as much as some other retro games.

Castelvania is one great game for the NES :) I love it. And the music is great i think the 1st and the 3rd are the best ones ( the second one has some flaws but it is still a great game :)

Mario Brothers 3 is the only NES game other than Duck Hunt I can think of that I thought was way cool...though Duck Hunt was too easy to cheat at.
As for Castlevania here's the latest news on the upcoming film:

My sons did. They had the old NES and play Castlevania, and they liked the first one when they went after Dracula. That was kind of hard. I tried to play it, but I was not that good at it. I am very bad at video games, always getting killed and all that. They also were trading with their two friends. They would trade two games, but never got the Castlevania Two or Three and finally they gave the NES away.
