I have a 27 months old and when he was 1 and 1/2 he feel a sleep in his own bed, then he got the flu really bad and started falling asleep on the couch. Now he throws a fit if I lay him down in his crib for bed, plus he hasn't been falling a asleep till almost ten and I have no time for me because he is laying on the couch. Any suggestions on how to get him to fall asleep in his bed agian? I miss my hour to myself before bed. Thanks.

I had kind of the same problem only I had been sleeping in the same bed as my daughter since she was born. When she was two I decided that she was to sleep in her own bed. I had lots of problems doing that. She didn't want to sleep on her own. Everyone told me the same thing and I am going to pass it on to you! Put him to bed in his own bed and if he cries just let him cry and When he gets out of bed don't say anything to him just take his hand and bring him back to his bed. Eventually he will fall asleep. I did that and within 5 or 6 days she didn't want to fight with me anymore and she now sleeps in her bed herself allnight! goodluck
