tomatoe plants

my mum is growing some tomatoes plants and the first lot she had the stems went brown and started to snap so she had no choice but to get rid of them and buy some more now the stems on these have started to go brown aswell and we cant understand why as mine are doing great and we have been looking after them in the same way. can anyone know where she is going wrong or what could be causing this?

try to change the soil.. it might be o that, or try to change the stems provider..

hi, this definately is the problem, please ask her to change these growing bad because they are infected.. and let her plant new tomatoes in new places ok :)

Tomatoes are very easy to catch diseases from the ground where other diseased plants have been. One way to solve this is to plant the tomoatoes in hanging baskets. To do this you should cut an X in the bottom of the pot. Insert the plant from the bottom so that it is growing upsidedown. Then place a Marigold in the top of the pot. The tomato will grow, be safe from the diseases that are in the ground, while the marigold is deterring unwanted pesty insects away from the tomato plant.
