God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... Dad

I feel so fortunate to have my dad. Although he is not my biological father, that does not matter. He is now, as he always was, ten feet tall in my eyes. I even had two wedding ceremonies, just to be able to include him in the ceremony, and so that both my fathers could "give me away", When I need a daddy, he's who I seek out, his number is formost in my mind on holidays, and every other day. His love, care, and concern never takes a holiday. If I could tell him just how much he means to me, I would. One day recently, he said, "You did, because you call me dad." My dad is special, and sent to me from God above. My dad was one of the people in my life that taught me it was okay to love. Have a good day everybody. Have you hugged your parents today?
