have you been ever been a market to make purchases without money ?

Many a times Idrove to market to purchase house hold and to my surprise,i found there is no money in my pocket , in this confusion, i ask the shop keeper to keep muy things aside and hurriedly return to my home, to get cash , it makes me stupid, what are your experiences in this regard.
