My first fish were Mollies over 25 years ago. I was told by many people that they are easy fish, but this is only true, if you don't like live plants. They ate every plant placed in the tank quickly even the Bamboo. The local pet stores all told me just place more plants in the tank, so the plants grow faster then the fish can eat and that didn't work. My Mollie Tank has a tank divider. Do you have any tanks with dividers?

Thanks for the reply. I do enjoy viewing ghost fish, as they are different. Sorry to hear about the goldfish.

The first fish that I had were goldfish and that was over 50 years ago. The first tropical fish were sword tails and then I ventured into more "exotic" fish like some of the cichlids. I still have cchlids such as firemouth, angelfish, dwarf golden eyed cichlids, Cichlasoma obliquis, and other fish like some of the rare live bearers. as well as Badis badis and many others. I will be getting more kinds of fish after I get my fish room set up and running.

Thanks for the reply. The only goldfish I had was rescued from a bad home and we treated her until she was well. She ate a lot and it was amazing watching her grow really fast until she had to leave, as she was to big for my largest fish tank. She is now in a pond and all the other fish follow her.

I had a 40-gallon salt-water aquarium tank before and my first fish was a 6 inches long Miniatus Grouper (Cephalopolis miniata). My employee gave it to me when she learned that I was setting up a tank. I like it because the fish has a bright red color and iridescent blue spots on its body and head. It is a sturdy fish that eats both meat diets and live food and I have no problem keeping it for 3 months. However, I can't put other fish in the tank and I don't want to have another set-up so I have to let go of it.
