It really does depend on who it is. If it a member of my family or a friend I care for deeply then I say nothing but if it is a stranger of who I have no regard then I just say what I feel. It may be a bit hurtful but to be honest I care for myself more than them and don't see why I should put myself out for a strangers feelings.

yes strangers are none of our business to attend to.. we dont know them so we really dont care about their feelings ...

Depends on the situation. If it's someone I am chatting with online, I excuse myself and say that I am working. If it's IRL, I try to politely get out of the conversation. It would have to be a pretty bad situation for me to tell anyone to shut up though.

well technically it depends on the nature of the person who is suffering the rubbish talk.if the guy is talking about a way way way boring topic then i make an excuse and get out of there.
